
Dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies
Franklin Pierce University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies. We are seeking an individual who has: a distinguished record of University-level teaching and research; can provide dynamic and visionary leadership; is able to develop innovative ideas and implement entrepreneurial initiatives; has effective personnel and financial management skills. Knowledge and experience of distance teaching and learning will be a distinct advantage. This position directly reports to Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and is responsible for administration of all programs and budgets within the College of Graduate and Professional Studies.
The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate, demonstrated creativity and success in developing new programs and the ability to grow existing programs to meet the needs of students and the entrepreneurial nature of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies. The successful candidate will also have a record of academic experiences and achievements appropriate for a faculty appointment at the rank of Full Professor; a minimum of three (3) years as a Department Chair or administrator and successful experience with accreditation procedures and processes is preferred.
