Dr. Rodney Blackman has come to Franklin Pierce University from a wide variety of places, having worked in a range of professional settings, including academia, where he has taught at university since 1997, as well as in non-academic, public, and private sector positions. He has lived and worked in a number of different environs, including but not limited to, internationally, in Asia, Europe, and Russia; and, in the US in the Midwest, the West, the Mid-Atlantic, and of course, the South. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Theology from The Master’s College in Los Angeles, CA, his master’s degree in Leisure Services Program Management from the University of Northern Iowa, and his doctorate in Recreation from Indiana University.
