Internships at Franklin Pierce
An internship is a real world experience related to your academic area of study and your career goals and interests. Internships are available across the curriculum and can be completed during the fall, spring or summer. Students completing internships are awarded academic credits and are supervised by their academic advisor or another faculty within their major.
Internship Process
- Work with your faculty advisor
- Research potential internship sites
- Apply for internships
- Get faculty approval for the internship
- Complete and submit the internship learning contract
- Complete departmental requirements for paperwork during the internship
Assistance in Locating and Applying for Internships
Information on potential internship sites is available through each academic department. The Career Services Office also has internship directories and can assist students in identifying internship opportunities related to their career interests. The career center staff is available to help students in preparing resumes and cover letters.
