The following degree/certification options are solidly based in "best practices" research and action-based learning experiences to help graduates gain employment in the field of education as caring and supportive educators for standards-based 21st century teaching and learning environments.
Programs are offered in multiple delivery formats, hybrid or 100% online, at the University’s Concord, Portsmouth and Manchester Centers. Several programs may be accelerated or decelerated to meet the needs and personal lives of our students. “Pathway” opportunities from undergraduate to graduate education are available for Franklin Pierce students.
Master of Education Only
This is the perfect program for students who are already certified but who wish to obtain an advanced degree in the field of education, while adding to their knowledge base in the area of curriculum and instruction, with an optional focus on literacy. This program is also designed to prepare students not interested in teaching in K-12 settings where certification is required, but who desire an advanced degree in Curriculum and Instruction in order to work in other types of education related settings.
General Special Education with Learning Disabilities (LD) or Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) K-12
Numerous options and employment opportunities are available in this critical shortage area. The M.Ed. degree in General Special Education without certification is designed for individuals who have earned a baccalaureate degree and are already certified in a concentration area or those who are not certified, but desire an advanced degree in Special Education to work in related settings which do not require certification. In addition, for those who majored in other content areas and are not certified to teach, or those who want additional certification in special education, the M.Ed. in General Special Ed with LD or EBD and Teacher Certification is a perfect choice.
The M.B.A. in Human Resource Management degree is designed for current and future managers responsible for talent acquisition and retention. Key to every organization, graduates are able to leverage their leadership, communication and business management skills across all business divisions.
The M.B.A. in Information Technology focuses on developing advanced analytical and management skills for those working in emerging technology fields. Graduates will be prepared to take on increasingly complex organizational challenges as leaders with both information technology and business management skills.
The M.B.A. in Leadership degree program develops both your business management and leadership skills. Graduates are prepared to assume key leadership positions in their organizations and communities.
The M.B.A. in Sports Management degree focuses on mastery in the business management, operations, media relations and technology of sports organizations.
