Students enroll at the American College Dublin, a small private college in the heart of Dublin. Class size is small and the student body is made up of both Irish and international students. Business, international relations, foreign languages, literature, psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, tourism and hospitality, history are among the disciplines available. Study tours are offered at the beginning of each semester and give the students the opportunity to study Irish commerce, or the humanities in Italy. American College Dublin is offered as a semester or full-year program.
Students enroll at Australia’s Griffith University, in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area. Choose from one of Griffith’s campuses, including the unique Southbank campus, which incorporates the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and the Queensland College of Art. The Nathan and Mt. Gravatt campuses have education, social science, humanities and the sciences, while the Gold Coast campus is a good choice for students in business, education and media studies. Griffith University is offered through Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad as a semester or full-year program.
Students study at the Umbria Institute in a small, quintessential town, Perugia, located halfway between Florence and Rome. Students have a variety of options to choose from, including full immersion, field research, honors courses, and general studies. Students may select courses in English or Italian based on their level of proficiency. Umbria Institute is offered through Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad as a semester or full-year program. Students from beginning to advanced levels of Spanish ability can study in the beautiful city of Barcelona. There are several options for programs, including direct enrollment at the University of Barcelona, language and culture studies through the Barcelona Center for Education Abroad, or a combination of the two, depending on one’s area of interest and proficiency in Spanish. Housing is with host families or in student apartments. The Barcelona program is offered through Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad as a semester or full-year program.
Study at New Zealand’s oldest university, University of Otago, on the southeastern coast of South Island. Choose from Otago’s enormous range of course options in areas such as anthropology, history, economics, Maori studies, media studies, political science, literature, theater studies, environmental studies – many of which have a New Zealand focus. Science classes may use the environment around Otago as their laboratory and for field study. The University of Otago is offered through Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad as a semester or full-year program.
The University of Stirling in the town of Stirling is equidistant from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and in proximity to Loch Lomond and the Scottish Highlands. Students enroll directly in the University of Stirling and can take courses across the curriculum. Environmental Science, ecology and environmental education, marine biology and marine science, film and media studies, communication and psychology are popular choices. Sports studies and exercise science are also offered. The University of Stirling is offered through Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad as a semester or full-year program.
Arcadia’s London Semester program is designed to help students make full use of their experience in this city full of world famous theatre, architecture, and museums. Students choose from among Arcadia’s London humanities courses in subjects such as art history, British studies, literature, theater studies, and can also directly enroll at City University or the London College of Fashion. Arcadia’s London Internship program has the same course choices as the semester program, and in addition gives students the opportunity to get real workplace experience at a London business, arts organization, media outlet, theater, etc. The London Semester and Internship programs are offered through Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad as a semester or full-year program.
