Graduates of Franklin Pierce University's College of Graduate & Professional Studies are truly inspiring. These students most often support families, hold full-time jobs and volunteer in their communities all while pursing their undergraduate degrees. Graduates assume greater roles of responsibility in their organizations and communities and many go on to pursue master's and doctoral degrees.

A single mother of three children, Juanita worked to support her family while attending Franklin Pierce University’s College of Graduate & Professional Studies (CGPS). Juanita graduated in May 2009 with her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice degree. Graduating at the top of her class, Juanita was the class Valedictorian proudly representing her fellow CGPS students.
“I credit my success to the quality professors I had in my time at FPU; they were lawyers, police officers, and social service workers who worked in their fields by day, and taught at night or online. Based on their expertise and willingness to share, my education was shaped not solely through the lens of a textbook but enhanced by their real-world experiences.”
Currently, Juanita is working as an Educational Advocate. She plans to attend law school in the near future.

When K. Spirito came to Franklin Pierce to pursue her bachelor's degree, she had no idea where her education would take her. A writing project in one of her first classes led to the publication of her first book, Father Sandro's Money. Today K. has authored seven books in her La Rosa Chronicles series.
"I had wanted to be a writer from an early age, but was never encouraged. When I enrolled at Franklin Pierce, Professor Gary Baker saw the writer in me and gave me the support and confidence to pursue my dream. I now have seven published works and a career I truly enjoy. I credit much of my success to my experience at Franklin Pierce University."
Today K. continues to research and write; a children's book is planned for the near future. Working as a team, K. and her husband /manager, Sal, will soon be launching a custom publishing business for K.'s books and other author's projects.
