Presentation Title: "How A.I. is affecting Franklin Pierce Students"

Abstract:

This study examines the impact of artificial intelligence (Al) on students at Franklin Pierce University. As Al technologies become increasingly integrated into higher education, it is important to understand how these tools influence student learning, academic performance, and overall perceptions of education. The purpose of this research is to gather information about how students use Al, how they rely on it, and how they believe it affects their academic experiences.

Anonymous surveys will be distributed to a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students across different majors and academic levels. The survey will include both multiple-choice and open-ended questions to collect quantitative data and personal insights. Questions will focus on Al usage for assignments, studying, research, time management, and problem-solving, as well as concerns related to academic integrity, dependency, and critical thinking.

Data will be analyzed to identify common patterns and themes such as academic efficiency, accessibility of learning tools, ethical concerns, and perceived advantages or disadvantages. The goal of this informative study is not to promote or discourage Al use, but to provide a clearer understanding of how Al is currently shaping the student experience at Franklin Pierce University and how it may influence the future of higher education.
