Presentation Title: "Anna Montes: A Case Briefing"

Abstract:

This case briefing provides insights into the case of Anna Belen Montes, a former senior analyst for the United States Defense Intelligence Agency who spied for the Cuban government for 17 years, by understanding the mediums for Montes' espionage, potential psychological traits she possessed, as well as Montes' personal background. In order to analyze Montes' espionage, source material from official government websites, credible news sources, and academic literature were collected, in which it was found that Montes presents patterns in behavior indicating potential narcissism, anxiety, sleep deprivation, as well as persistent issues with her father, Alberto Montes. Montes was namely accredited for her clear and proud views on U.S. foreign policy, in which Montes actively voices against, providing many reporters of the case to report Montes as ideologically driven in her espionage. Further research should be conducted to better understand potential psychological or personal afflictions that may provide some insight into what may have further driven Montes may have to commit her espionage.

Data will be analyzed to identify common patterns and themes such as academic efficiency, accessibility of learning tools, ethical concerns, and perceived advantages or disadvantages. The goal of this informative study is not to promote or discourage Al use, but to provide a clearer understanding of how Al is currently shaping the student experience at Franklin Pierce University and how it may influence the future of higher education.
