Abstract:

In keeping with the Academic Showcase theme of Meeting the Moment, Franklin Pierce Food Systems students invite you to stop by their exhibit to choose an organic plant to take home that they have sown. As we repot the flower or vegetable seedling of your choice, you will be asked to jot down and add a private commitment or hope for the future of agriculture and human health (for a nation free of hunger, for a healthy future for you, for humankind or for the environment) to also “take root” with your organic plant. Informational pieces created by BI 302 students on actions you can take to help feed the future of our community and planet will be available.
