Abstract:

During late February to the day of the Showcase, the Honors Composition 2 cohort have been engaging in what they have called "Public Action at Pierce." These independently designed, planned and actualized projects were designed to help improve student life on campus. Each student was in charge of their own Public Action project that was created to help further their professional development, enrich their resume and promote a higher quality of life for their student peers. The exhibition today allows these students to present and promote their projects in a formal setting. Each student will host a boot where they will discuss the implementation of their project and discuss where they see their Public Action evolving over the next two years. The booths presented will be:

1) Student Financial Literacy Basics.
2) FPU Gamer’s Inaugural Fundraiser Competition.
3) Residential Improvements Raffle.
4) DUI Awareness and Prevention.
5) Literacy and Libraries at FPU.
6) Narcan Administration Training.
7) On-Campus Fire Station and Fire Club.
8) Sustainability and the Campus Garden.
9) BMI Awareness.
10) Substance Abuse and Awareness on Campus.

We believe that together this exhibition will present a rich and hopeful look at the fantastic work being conducted by students.
