A Plan To Return

Public Spaces and Lobbies

Public Spaces and Lobbies

Franklin Pierce University has taken the following steps to reduce the potential for exposure in shared spaces:

  • Departments are encouraged to use a scheduling system when possible to limit in-person traffic and reduce need for waiting space.
  • New maximum capacity guidelines have been developed for all shared spaces, including classrooms and meeting spaces, to allow for 6’ distancing.
  • Barriers and shields have been installed to provide separation between workspaces, and at point-of-service stations.
  • Prominent signs and markings communicate space usage policies, proper distancing for those standing in lines, and one-way traffic patterns where necessary.
  • Hand sanitizing stations and disinfectant sprays are provided for all departmental common areas.
Campus Bookstore

To minimize congestion in the Campus Bookstore, students are strongly encouraged to order their books and other items from the bookstore website and pick up their order from an outdoor distribution table when they return to campus. Students not returning to campus can request that their books be shipped to them.
