What Makes Our Biotechnology Program Different?
Our Biotechnology program is unique insofar as it simultaneously prepares graduates for lucrative employment in industry or admission to health professions-related graduate and professional programs - and our program even delivers a modern science foundation to apply to law schools (JD) or business schools (MBA) for employment within the vast and rapidly evolving STEM industries.
The Biotechnology Lab Skills Certificate is a collection of courses geared towards preparing the student for a career in laboratory research. Successful completion of this certificate represents an achievement of demonstrated laboratory skills in molecular techniques. Typical areas of employment include biotechnology companies, environmental testing services, and/or biomedical research facilities.

Who Should Study Biotechnology?
Students interested in biological sciences, medicine, and other areas of STEM including some of these specific areas:
- Biopharmaceutical research
- Areas of biopharmaceutical industry related to patent law, management, regulatory and business elements, and more
- Health professions such as Physician Assistant Studies, medical, dental, or other allied health professions.
