Class of 1969

50th Reunion

Dear Members of the Class of 1969:

It is hard to believe that it has been more than 50 years since we began our education at what was then Franklin Pierce College.  It seems like only yesterday, we attended our first mixer at the Student Union and ended with our exciting concert with Janis Joplin.

We asking you to join us in leaving a Class of 1969 legacy to Franklin Pierce in honor of our 50th reunion. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to provide student-centered capital support. Our reunion giving initiative will be permanently recognized on campus. Over the years our class served as leaders by providing support to the University in so many ways:  through transformative philanthropic commitments, engaged as ambassadors on behalf of the institution throughout the country, and mentored students and young alumni as they entered the work force. We proudly say the Class of 1969 stands-out as the BEST!

We believe you will agree that Franklin Pierce changed our lives. We often hear, ''that was the best four years of my life!” Most of us made life-long friends, with whom we still share times of fun and frolic. We may have drifted away pursuing careers, raising families, but the memories and the relationships remain.

To that end, we are asking you to make a commemorative gift to the University for which we will receive recognition in perpetuity. Listen, the two of us are stepping out of our comfort zone to take the lead in asking for your support. Although we are uncomfortable, our love of Franklin Pierce far exceeds our trepidation. We understand some of our classmates have the ability to make a larger donation--please know, every gift matters!

Hey, we are not professional fund raisers, just two Class of 1969 alumni with tremendous pride in our beloved institution. We are humbled by the growth of our alma mater and want to make our mark on the University. Also, please remember, it’s not the amount you give, it’s the number of alumni that give, as it impacts grants, etc.  The greater the participation, the more success in solicitation of funds, period.  Heck, use a credit card, and make a monthly pledge.  A virtually painless $20 a month for five years could provide a total contribution of $1,200!  Please join us by doing the following:
