Oct 16, 2025
Franklin Pierce University (FPU) has announced expansion of its Pierce Promise, which covers the full cost of tuition and fees for qualifying students from New Hampshire, to now include qualifying students from Massachusetts and Vermont.
“Franklin Pierce University absolutely recognizes the challenges many families face
regarding the cost of a college education, and we are committed to making our particularly
effective and rewarding college degree options more accessible,” said Dr. Peter Eden,
president of FPU.
To be eligible for the Pierce Promise, students must:
- Apply and be admitted to Franklin Pierce University
- Be a full-time, first-time undergraduate student enrolled for the Fall 2026 semester at our Rindge, NH campus.
- Be a full-time resident of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, or Vermont.
- Plan to live on campus. (Students who choose to commute will be eligible for a prorated grant.)
- Earn a 3.0 or higher high school cumulative GPA.
- File the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid and demonstrate a household gross income of under $80,000.
Students will be responsible for room, board, books, meals, and other supplies. Additional financial aid may apply.
“FPU’s supportive and safe campus is a perfect fit for many students, and our focus
on career readiness including multiple guaranteed internships makes an FPU education
a high-value choice,” said President Eden. “FPU is known as a powerhouse in Division
II Athletics with a stunningly beautiful campus - but we’re so much more than that.
Our strong academic offerings span the health professions, sports-related majors,
and the liberal arts, with more programs currently under development. And all students
will have an advantage in terms of securing jobs upon graduation due to our internship
model.”
