Franklin Pierce Announces Partnership with University of New England for Seamless Transition to Grad Programs

Franklin Pierce University (FPU) has partnered with the University of New England (UNE) to help qualifying FPU undergraduates make a seamless transition to one of six UNE graduate programs by offering Guaranteed Interview/Preferred Candidate status.

“Franklin Pierce University and the University of New England are aligned in that both offer the highest quality graduate and undergraduate programs in the health professions and related health science fields,” said Dr. Peter Eden, president of FPU. “This articulation agreement will allow qualified FPU undergraduates who meet eligibility requirements to automatically be granted an interview, in programs requiring interviews, with UNE as a preferred candidate for one of several of UNE’s graduate programs.”

FPU undergraduates who have achieved the minimum required Grade Point Average (GPA) and have other required documentation will be eligible for entry into one of the following UNE programs:

• Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT)
• Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
• Master of Science in Climate Change Leadership (CCL)
• Master of Public Health (MPH)
• Master of Science in Applied Nutrition (MSAN)

Many of Franklin Pierce University’s undergraduate programs, including health sciences, nursing, biology, healthcare administration, psychology, and biotechnology (newly added for Fall 2026) prepare students for a direct pathway into the health professions. FPU offers several direct pathways to its own graduate health professions programs through the University’s graduate centers in Manchester and Lebanon, New Hampshire, Goodyear, Arizona, and Round Rock, Texas. These include a combination of in-person and hybrid/online modalities in programs such as Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Master’s Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN), Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC).

“Our agreement with UNE will allow our bright, talented undergraduate students simplified access to an even broader range of graduate studies and career opportunities through UNE’s excellent graduate studies offerings,” said President Eden.
