Presentation Title: "Bar Passage Rates and Attributing Factors"
Abstract:
This research project will cover the topic of bar exam passage rates after the completion of law school and the factors that attribute to the currently decreasing passage rate across the country. Factors such as LSAT score, undergrad GPA, race, age, and law school performance all come into play in determining how well someone will perform on the bar exam. Bar pass rates are a very definitive point in one's legal education and potential career and thus data surrounding that point is numerable and frequently studied. Using that data this research paper will explain the predictability these factors have on bar pass rate and make suggestions for law schools in the hopes of raising the bar pass rate going forward.
