Presentation Title: "Imagine A Food Secure Nation"
Abstract:
A 2024 nutrition survey conducted by the College of Health and Natural Resources at Franklin Pierce University revealed that about 23% of FPU students have food needs that are not being fully met, suggesting food insecurity.
In response, the Division of Student Affairs, the College of Health and Natural Sciences, and the DiPietro Library have spearheaded and launched a collaborative effort to help close the food access gap for students, staff or faculty in need of additional food and personal hygiene products. Two on-campus sites have already provided hundreds of pounds of food to our community since December 2024 - one in the Counseling Center and the other in the Bray Center of the Library.
Come visit our exhibit to learn more about the Rations for Ravens pantry program and have a tour of the Library R4R site. If you bring a food or cash donation, you are eligible to win a drawing for one of several donated items or experiences!
