Presentation Title: "Is the economy stupid" public economic perception and presidential approval ratings.

Abstract:

This paper looks at the possible connection between public opinion of the economy and presidential approval ratings. The reason for this is to discover how import the economy is in presidential approval. This paper will look at data from Truman to Biden to figure how presidents approval ratings were altered by the economy. The paper also seeks to understand how important the economy is to the people. It will aim to measure the economy with other possible factors such as war to determine if anything is more important than the economy.
