Presentation Title: "The Camino as Classroom: Walking to Santiago as Our Semester Abroad"
Abstract:
Students who participated in the Pierce Camino Study Abroad Program in the fall of 2023 will discuss their recent experience studying and walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. The multi-media group presentation will explain the historical foundations of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage and its contemporary renaissance, discuss ancient and contemporary motivations for walking it, discuss how it works on a day-to-day basis and what they learned through this hands-on semester abroad.
