On Friday, May 25, 2018, faculty, family and friends gathered at our Manchester NH Center to celebrate the Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2019 at their Pinning Ceremony.

A total of 222 student-athletes in the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics have been named to the 2018 spring semester edition of the Athletic Department Honor Roll, as announced Thursday.

Graduates, parents, faculty and guests braved the cold and rain to celebrate the 53rd Commencement at Franklin Pierce University on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The University awarded 581 doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees, and three special guests received honorary degrees and awards.

Class of 2018 Shines on Rainy Commencement Day

Graduates, parents, faculty and guests braved the cold and rain to celebrate the 53rd Commencement at Franklin Pierce University on Saturday, May 12, 2018. The University awarded 581 doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s and associate degrees, and three special guests received honorary degrees and awards.

Operation Can Tab, a newly minted club on campus, focuses on collecting can tabs on and off campus, to be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners then sells the tabs to recycling companies and uses the proceeds to pay for the expensive surgeries and recoveries for sick and injured children. Shriners operates 22 non-profit medical facilities across North America.

Operation Can Tab, a newly minted club on campus, focuses on collecting can tabs on and off campus, to be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners then sells the tabs to recycling companies and uses the proceeds to pay for the expensive surgeries and recoveries for sick and injured children. Shriners operates 22 non-profit medical facilities across North America.

Siblings are an enigma. Living and growing up together, continually competing and driving each other crazy at times. It does not get much easier when identical twins are involved. For the Lassows and Sweeneys, it is hard to imagine one without the other.

Franklin Pierce University is pleased to announce a $233,800 grant from the Davis Educational Foundation established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after Mr. Davis’s retirement as chairman of Shaw’s Supermarkets, Inc. The grant will support the University’s Initiative for Digital Education for Accelerated Learning (IDEAL) and will be awarded over three years to assist with the launch and implementation of this new program that will benefit undergraduate students’ digital preparedness.

After an initial “icebreaker” networking exercise, the attendees broke into one of four information sessions: “Women in Leadership: Professional and Personal Balance in Higher Education”, “Navigating Institutions of Higher Education as a Woman of Color”, “Change? We’ve Always Done it this Way!” or “Mentoring: Mentors for Leaders, Time Commitments, and Reverse Mentoring.”
