Franklin Pierce to host “It’s the Moment That Matters” with Jonah Wheeler

On Thursday, November 11 at 6:30 p.m., the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,
in partnership with Justice Athletic Association student group, will host Jonah Wheeler
in Cheshire Hall on the Rindge Campus, Jonah will present his “Moral Obligations”
speech and discuss ways that young people can have their voices heard throughout their
community.
Jonah is an 18-year-old social justice activist living in Peterborough, N.H. He recently
graduated from ConVal High school and is running for state representative for Hillsboro
District 24.
The event will share more information on:
- Understanding the moral responsibility of what it means to be called an “activist”;
- Becoming aware of various ways to “get involved” in your community; and
- Discovering ways to channel your knowledge “into morally effective action”.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A. This event is open to the public. Parking is available next to Cheshire Hall.
