Public Invited to Internet Privacy Forum
Nov 1, 2013

The Constitutionally Speaking project invites New Hampshire residents to participate in an online forum from November 4 to 22. The facilitated, deliberative forum, “What Should Go On on the Internet? Privacy, Freedom, and Security Online,” is made possible by the Live Free or Die Alliance (LFDA) and the New England Center for Civic Life at Franklin Pierce University.
Attorney Andrew Clearwater, an expert in global law and technology, and Joni Doherty, director of the New England Center for Civic Life, will moderate the forum, which will address two questions: How can we balance privacy, free speech, and security? Should there be limits to what we can do online?
Constitutionally Speaking, a collaboration among the New Hampshire Humanities Council, the New Hampshire Supreme Court Society, the New Hampshire Institute for Civic Education, and the University of New Hampshire School of Law, is designed to engage New Hampshire citizens in civil yet spirited dialogue about important constitutional issues and to strengthen civics education in New Hampshire schools from kindergarten through high school.
