FPU Welcomes Genevieve McGillicuddy to its Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of Franklin Pierce University announces the appointment of new member Genevieve McGillicuddy, Vice President, Enterprises and Strategic Partnerships at Turner Classic Movies (TCM) in Atlanta, GA. She brings deep experience in marketing and leadership to her role on the Board of Trustees, as well as an enduring appreciation for the opportunities to explore and experiment that she had as a student at Franklin Pierce University. Board Chair Frederick W. Pierce IV said, “Ms. McGillicuddy brings the kind of innovative thinking and collaborative skills that will help us successfully navigate a rapidly changing environment. With her knowledge, experience, and love of Franklin Pierce, we are delighted to welcome her to the Board of Trustees.” |

McGillicuddy is a film industry leader with responsibility for creating, promoting,
publicizing, directing and executing high-profile and world-class festivals and events.
Prior to her career at TCM, she provided marketing and operational leadership for
a start-up independent entertainment company, and a film industry non-profit organization.
McGillicuddy received the Fitzwater Medallion for Leadership in Public Communication
from Franklin Pierce University in 2015, and a Peabody Award for Turner Classic Movies
in 2008.
As a student, McGillicuddy came to Franklin Pierce from Nashua, N.H. and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in English in 1994. She earned a master’s degree in film studies at Emory University in Atlanta, and attended the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute for Women in Cable Telecommunications. Her volunteer work includes serving as a board member for the Atlanta Jewish Film Society, as past chair of the Circle Mentoring program for Turner Broadcasting, and as a member of the board of Turner Women.
