Lori Shibinette MBA ’13 to lead N.H. Department of Health and Human Services
Jan 23, 2020

Lori Shibinette MBA ’13 was unanimously confirmed by the New Hampshire Executive Council to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). She was the CEO of New Hampshire Hospital, the state’s inpatient psychiatric facility in Concord. Previously, she was the state’s deputy health commissioner. A registered nurse, Shibinette also served as the CEO of the Merrimack County Nursing Home. As commissioner of DHHS, Shibinette will oversee programs and budgets that account for nearly half of total state spending. Governor Chris Sununu says he picked Shibinette to lead DHHS because of what he called her “unmatched operational experience.”
