Doctor of Physical Therapy (NH), Class of 2020 Pinning Ceremony
Jan 1, 2020
On Friday, May 24, 2019, the Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2020 celebrated their Pinning Ceremony at the Franklin Pierce University Manchester Center. The pinning ceremony represents students’ progression from the didactic portion of their education to their clinical rotations, on their way to completing their degrees.
DPT Class of 2020 opened the ceremony with a student-led dance routine - even getting faculty involved! Following a welcome from Provost James DuMond, Jr. and Program Director Dr. Mary Palaima, the Dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies, Dr. Maria Altobello, addressed the members of the Class of 2020. Faculty members Dr. Willow Henry and Dr. Lisa Doyle each gave the students sage advice and encouragement as they move forward in their education.
Melissa Cummings DPT ’20 reflected on the experiences she and her classmates shared during the first two years of the program. After receiving their pins, the Class of 2020 and assembled faculty read the Physical Therapy Oath.
Franklin Pierce University is proud to congratulate DPT Class of 2020, and confident they will excel in their clinical rotations!
