Winter Light Celebration
Dec 3, 2018
Social media buzzed on Friday November 30th as the first annual Winter Light Festival took place on the Rindge campus. President Kim Mooney ’83 hosted the celebration and served treats to students in the new Pearly House. Participants decorated their Lakeview or Tower residences with holiday lights, for a chance to win a beanie from the bookstore. Students rode the shuttle around campus to view and vote for their favorite light display. They toasted s’mores and created winter-themed name plates at the Campus Center.
Faculty, staff and students who attended had a wonderful time and loved meeting President Mooney’s cat Dusty. Student Jocelyn Gagnon ’22 commented, “Dessert at Pearly House was a lot of fun!” Congratulations to Lakeview 16 and Tower A4 who are the winners of the Winter Lights competition!
