MENTOR AND TRAIN THE NEXT GENERATION OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS
Franklin Pierce PA students will have completed 13 months of didactic education prior to beginning clinical rotations. Our PA students are eager to learn through experience in a clinical setting.
Clinical preceptors are licensed health professionals who act as mentors and role models to Franklin Pierce University’s physician assistant (PA) students. Clinical preceptors are essential in guiding our PA student experiences through numerous aspects of patient care; including history taking, physical examination, assessment, diagnostic testing, patient documentation and presentation.

Sharing your clinical knowledge and skill with the next generation PAs is both professionally and personally rewarding. Students are enthusiastic learners whose interactions with you and your patience often bring a new dimension and energy to your practice. Each preceptor, upon request, may receive a certificate of category II CME credit based on time spent with the student. For preceptors who host multiple students per year a stipend may be given. An opportunity for an affiliate faculty appointment may also be available.
Preceptor Qualifications
MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs, midwives are able to be preceptors. Interested preceptors candidates should hold board or national certification in your specialty area and have approval by our program prior to student rotation assignment. Forms can be accessed via the links at right. We are more than happy to assist potential preceptors integrate our students into their practices.
