Presentation Title: "American Modern Issues and its relation to Fascism"
Abstract:
This study explores the connection between the characteristics of fascism and modern
American issues. The characteristics of fascism include nationalism, militarism, sexism/homophobia,
obsession with national security, religion, and government intertwined. The modern
American issues at hand are the genocide in Palestine, legislation control of women
and LGBTQIA2S+, border control, and Christian language used in government. The connection
between these issues and characteristics can be analyzed to conclude that the United
States is moving toward fascism. The goal of this research is to bring attention to
these modern issues previously listed in a way that is familiar to past issues. One
example of a modern issue that could relate to a past issue is the Israel Defense
Force towards Palestine (modern) and Nazi regiment towards the Jewish community in
Europe. (past)
